Narraxio installs as a GitHub App with least-privilege access, authorized repository by repository. It reads the files you allow, discovers the content structures inside them, and builds a content graph — without changing how your application is built or deployed.
In short: Read access, discovery and indexing are covered by the App installation. Write-back through pull requests is a separate grant you make per repository and per structure.
What it is
The source-control and code-review platform most code-driven marketing sites already live in. It is also, for most companies, the de facto content management system nobody chose and nobody can use.
What Narraxio reads
- Repository tree and file contents for the paths you authorize
- Default branch and branch list
- Commit history as provenance evidence — committed by, introduced in commit
- Push and pull-request webhooks, to keep the graph current
How it is connected
- Install the Narraxio GitHub App on the organization or account
- Authorize repositories individually — there is no all-repositories shortcut by design
- Choose read-only, which is the default and is sufficient for the content graph
- Run the first discovery and review the proposed content types
How you verify it
- The inventory lists the files it parsed and the ones it skipped, with the reason
- Each asset shows the exact source binding it came from
- Revoking the App in GitHub ends access immediately, and Narraxio shows the connection as revoked
Limits worth knowing
- Write access is never implied by a read connection — it is a separate grant, per repository and per structure
- Discovery only understands structures the parsers support — unsupported files are listed as skipped rather than silently ignored
- Repository content is treated as untrusted data; text inside your files cannot instruct the AI layer
