What Authorship gives you
Imported history is evidence
Git blame tells you which commit introduced a line. Narraxio records that as "introduced in commit", not as a byline.
Authorship can be asserted
The actual writer can be recorded explicitly, which is the only way the field is ever correct for content written before the repository existed.
Unknown is an honest state
Content with no determinable author is marked as such, and shows up in Content Health as missing provenance rather than being attributed to whoever last ran a formatter.
