Meaning is in the edges.
Content belongs to a brand, describes a product, is derived from a fact, appears on a page, is a variant of something else, is reused elsewhere, targets an audience, was translated from a source or supersedes an older version.
Relationships
- Belongs to brand / describes product
- Derived from fact
- Appears on page / in section

How it helps
What Relationships gives you
Typed, not tagged
"Derived from fact" and "variant of" are different relationships with different consequences. A flat tag cloud collapses both.
Traversable in both directions
From a fact to everything that depends on it, and from a claim back to the evidence behind it.
A relational store is enough
Typed relationship tables with the right indexes carry this model. A graph database is a later decision, made on measured query complexity rather than on the word "graph".
Content Graph
The rest of Content Graph
Turn content scattered across files and systems into one queryable graph.
Content Inventory
Every content asset with an ID, a type, a status and a place it came from.
